Monday, February 3:

9:30 – Parliament’s Defense and Security Committee is scheduled to hold a hearing with the Minister of the Interior and the interim Minister of Defense concerning the situation in Libya and its implications for Tunisia’s national security, according to Marsad Majles, the parliamentary watchdog project of NGO Al Bawsala.

14:00 – Parliament’s Committee on Administrative Reform, Good Governance, Anti-Corruption and Oversight of Public Finances is scheduled to continue its consideration of bill No 81/2019 relating to the governance of taxation, business, and public institutions, according to Marsad Majles, the parliamentary watchdog project of NGO Al Bawsala.

Tuesday, February 4:

9:00 – Parliament is scheduled to hold a plenary (full) session to discuss a number of bills, including: organic law No48/2019 approving an agreement with Qatar concerning air transport between the two countries; organic law No10/2019 approving a cooperation agreement with the Republic of Sudan concerning maritime travel, navigation, and commerce; organic law No 94/2018 approving a cooperation agreement with the Republic of Djibouti concerning maritime travel and ports; and organic law No93/2018 approving an agreement with the Republic of Guinea concerning the international transportation of people and goods by road, according to Marsad Majles, the parliamentary watchdog project of NGO Al Bawsala.

9:00 – The Tunis-Africa Business Council (TABC) is hosting its 3rd Financing Investment and Trade in Africa (FITA) conference, a two-day conference. Location: Laico Hotel.

12:30 – A protest is being planned in front of the Prime Minister’s office in support of residents of Al-Huwaydia in the northwest of Tunisia who have held a sit-in in front of the Ettihad Company polluting local water resources.

Wednesday, February 5:

9:00 – The Tunis-Africa Business Council (TABC) is hosting its 3rd Financing Investment and Trade in Africa (FITA) conference, a two-day conference. Location: Laico Hotel.

9:00 – Parliament’s Committee on Finance, Planning, and Development is scheduled to meet to examine draft law No99/2017 “relating to the regularization of exchange offenses” and draft law No17/2019 approving December, 12, 2018 agreement between Tunisia and the German state-owned development bank KFW to finance the second phase of a program supporting reform in the water sector, according to Marsad Majles, the parliamentary watchdog project of NGO Al Bawsala.

9:30 – Parliament’s Committee on the Rules of Procedure, Immunity, Electoral Laws and Parliamentary Laws is scheduled to meet to assess amendments to Parliament’s Rules of Procedure, according to Marsad Majles, the parliamentary watchdog project of NGO Al Bawsala.
